My Story, Woven by God

Holy and Community

I first heard about Jesus from my grade school friend Kristine.  She loved Jesus and sang about or talked about him daily on the playground. God then sent neighbors who loved Jesus enough to love my unbelieving family. My eternity was sealed the day I first asked Jesus into my 8-year-old heart in a little country church with my neighbors rejoicing.

Years later, with a husband and two small children, I returned to my hometown a decade after graduating high school.  Once again, God faithfully sent His followers to invite me to His Church. One Sunday, in September 1996, God called me on my promises to raise my children going to Sunday School so that they would learn about Jesus.  Inside a Methodist church in my small rural town, a whole community of women taught me to read my Bible.  On the phone, in cars, or in our homes, they spent countless hours answering my questions.  These same women also taught my children at Sunday School and choir class.

A couple years later, God called me into service as a prayer warrior before I knew what it meant.  The women He brought me to learn and serve with were some of the fiercest prayer warriors I have ever met.

As my children grew, God grew my faith as well as my passion for women's ministry. Serving women across the Midwest, God did more than I could imagine with every step of faith in both church and my family. .

Throughout the years, I experienced Holy Spirit moments of healing and revelation on an individual and corporate community level. Woven in the Wait was created to share these stories and guide you through a process of finding God's divine weaving in your stories, as you follow God into a deeper knowledge of love and wholeness in your faith journey.

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:14-17 NIV) .

Statement of Faith

I believe that the Bible is the complete, authoritative, inspired Word of God which consists of the 66 chapters of Old Testament and New Testament Holy Bible.

I believe there is only one living true God. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to I us as Father Creator, Son Jesus our Savior, and the Holy Spirit .  I believe that Jesus is God's son born of a virgin, fully God and fully man who lived a sinless life was crucified died and was buried.  On the third day Jesus rose from the grave conquering death and sit at the right hand of Father God. I believe the Holy Spirit is gifted to all believers at the moment of confession and acceptance of Jesus. as an indwelling of God that enables understanding of God's Holy Word and transformation of our human nature being refined to live out Christian principles.  They are separate but without division of nature or character.
